Google Puts Weird Countdown on Search Page

Go to google.com and hit the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button leaving the query box empty. You’ll immediately see a countdown at the lower middle of the page.

We’ve calculated to find out when the countdown ends, and figured out that this is a countdown to the new year’s first day. The countdown ends at 00:00 local time on January 1st, 2010. That means, whosoever visits this hidden page, will see the countdown to the end of the year according to their local time.

We still have no idea if it’s just a simple countdown, or Google is planning for something big on the occasion of the new year. As a result, what we can do is wait and see what Google is going to do.
