Mark Juckerberg, the facebook founder has said that his social networking site is soon removing all the country and regional networks due to their large number of users which often causes privacy concerns.

The founder, in a blog post, has also said that Facebook has reached over 350 million users across the world. Now it’s a big network for communicating and socializing. It had created many networks such as School-wise, College-wise, and University-wise networks to join people together. Networks also include many big industries and companies so that all personnel can be brought under a specific network.

Later, Facebook also added country-wise and regional (such as city-wise, state-wise, etc) networks. It was a good idea, indeed, but until it reached 350 million users.

The founder said that now it’s a big privacy concern for those added to country networks, as country-wise networks have gotten millions of users. To keep privacy secured, Facebook team has decided to remove these country and regional networks.

After the removal of those networks, users will be asked to review and update privacy settings. However, facebook will suggest some privacy settings based on the current privacy level of each user.
